Block Geology - Block 24

Overview

  • 204+ Million tonnes of JORC compliant Inferred Resource of thermal coal from the "Graha Seam" alone.
  • The "Graha Seam" is thick, up to 7.4 m and dips are generally low with 92% of the dips recorded being 10º or less.
  • The area has favourable topography for potentially large resources/reserves with low strip ratio.
  • Three other seams have been identified, but not fully explored.
  • Coal samples analysed indicate very low sulphur and low ash.
  • Block 24 touches the Mahakam River making it ideal for barge transport.
  • Timber operations have finished in the area leaving a network of some 136 km of logging roads that provide good access across the block.
