Block 16

Overview

  • Exploration started in July 2007.
  • A total of 7 coal surface outcrops have been identified with seam thicknesses ranging up to 3.5 m.
  • Coal samples analysed indicate very low sulphur, very low ash and moderate to high calorific values.
  • The block is strategically located giving access to both the Mahakam and Kadang Pahu Rivers.
